For solo teachers, not open yet
The same practice loop, built for your own studio
Whether you're fully independent or teaching inside a studio or franchise, this will be your own account: write the note, review the plan, publish. We're focused on solo students first; tell us you're interested and we'll reach out when this opens.
"The G to Em change into the bridge is still clunky. Drill that transition slowly before bringing the strumming pattern back up to tempo. The palm-muted riff is solid, keep it light."
Mon–Wed: G to Em transition
Slow and isolated. No strumming pattern yet.
Thu: bring strumming pattern back up to tempo
Only once the transition is clean.
Daily: palm-muted riff warm-up
Unchanged from last week, stays light.
Why it matters
Your teaching, extended into the week, on your own terms
Your own setup, independent of your employer
Whether you're fully independent or teaching inside a studio or franchise, this is your own account, not tied to what your employer buys.
The same three steps you'd use anywhere
Write the note, review the plan Woodshed drafts from it, publish. No new system to learn, no curriculum to adopt.
Real personalization, low added effort
Every plan comes from your own note on that specific student, not a templated curriculum. If you already keep session notes, there's nothing new to learn.
The feedback loop you don't get from texting
Check-offs, felt-ratings, and practice videos give you a read on the week you'd otherwise only get by asking at the next lesson.
How it works
Three steps, same as any Woodshed teacher
Write the note
What to isolate, what's ready, what to leave alone this week: the note you'd keep anyway.
Review the plan
Woodshed drafts the week's practice from that note. Edit anything before it goes out.
Publish
Your student follows a guided, step-by-step practice week on their phone.
Questions
Before you leave your email
Is this the same product a school or franchise gets?
No. This is the individual practice loop only, no program rollout across other teachers, no admin or director visibility, no dedicated onboarding. That institutional layer is what schools and franchise locations pay for; this is a separate, individual offering for you.
I already teach at a studio or franchise. Can I still get my own account?
That's the plan, yes, independent of whatever your employer buys. One thing worth knowing: if your studio or school also becomes a Woodshed customer, we'll help sort out how the two accounts relate so nothing gets confusing for your students.
Does this replace how I already assign practice?
No. It works from whatever note format you already keep. It's what happens after the note is written, not a new system to learn.
Is this open yet?
Not yet. We're focused on solo students first. Leave your email below and we'll reach out when solo teacher accounts are ready, before we open them publicly.
What will it cost?
Not decided yet, and we won't guess a number here before it's real. You'll hear about pricing before accounts open.
