Before you join
Do I need to already take lessons?
No. If you don't have a teacher right now, Woodshed's AI plans your practice for you, suggesting what to work on and building it into a guided week. If you do take lessons, nothing about your teacher's notes and plans changes. This is a separate path, not a replacement.
How does the AI know what to suggest if I don't tell it anything?
A quick skill-level check-in when you start gives it enough of a read to suggest a sensible starting point. Tell it more, or correct it, any time: it keeps adjusting from what you tell it and what you've already practiced.
Isn't this just another app that runs everyone through the same course?
No. Those apps hand every user the same fixed curriculum regardless of what they're actually working on. Woodshed builds around what you tell it and what you've already practiced. Not a generic course everyone gets.
Is this the same thing schools and studios get?
No. Solo accounts are the individual practice loop only, no program rollout across teachers, no admin or director visibility, no dedicated onboarding. That institutional layer is what schools and franchise locations are actually paying for; solo is a separate, individual offering.
